"Welcome To UZ" serves primarily as an information and service point for students and staff from abroad, as well as for domestic students and employees, who can also find out about the possibility of going to study, internships, apprenticeships, teaching and research trips.
The tasks of Welcome To UZ include:
- Providing relevant information and support for international students, such as information about study programs, registration procedures, institutions at the university, etc.
- Facilitating recruitment processes for new foreign students, academics and teaching staff by providing them with specific information about the application process, answers to questions, etc.
- Providing campus information such as building plans, lecture halls, laboratories, libraries, etc.
- Creating a space where students and international workers can meet and talk.
- Welcome and registration of new international students and staff.
- Assistance in the process of completing formalities related to arrival and stay at the university.
- Advising on living in a new country (cultural customs, transport, shopping, medical services, etc.).
- Recording and resolving issues related to housing, payments, health insurance, immigration regulations, etc.
- Coordinating meetings with academic advisors and providing support on course selection, career planning, available resources at the university, etc.
- To provide continuous communication and support for international students and staff throughout their time at the university, to help them solve problems as much as possible and feel safe and well.
- Ongoing service for students and employees of the University of Uz.
