Information on the Required Level of Polish Language Proficiency for Foreigners

According to the Polish Language Act of 7 October 1999, foreigners undertaking studies conducted in Polish are required to meet specific language proficiency requirements.

The required Polish language proficiency levels for completing studies are as follows:

• First-cycle (Bachelor’s) studies – level B2

• Second-cycle (Master’s) studies in Polish philology – level C1

• Second-cycle (Master’s) studies in fields other than Polish philology – level B2

• Long-cycle (integrated Master’s) studies – level B2
