Between October 6th and 10th, 2025, the Welcome Center, Department of International Cooperation, and ESN UZ teamed up to organize an unforgettable Orientation Week for our new exchange students!
It was five days packed with fun, discovery, and friendship — the perfect start to the UZ experience!
We kicked off the week with a warm welcome session where students met the teams behind international cooperation at UZ. After the introductions, everyone joined a guided tour around Campus A — exploring classrooms, labs, and even taking part in interactive lectures and science experiments! It was the first taste of what studying here is all about.
Next up: discovering our city! Students took part in a City Game, exploring Zielona Góra’s charming streets and uncovering the many Bacchus statues hidden across town. It was part sightseeing, part adventure — and a great way to bond with new friends!
Midweek was all about academics — with a tour of Campus B and our modern university library. Students learned where to find study spaces, research resources, and a quiet corner to recharge between classes.
Thursday took us on a little adventure beyond Zielona Góra! We traveled to Międzyrzecz, where we explored the Piast Castle and WWII bunkers. Along the way, students got a hands-on Polish history lesson — a perfect mix of culture, learning, and travel.
We wrapped up the week with one of our favorite traditions — the International Dinner! Students from all over the world brought dishes from their home countries, filling the room (and our hearts) with amazing flavors and great vibes.
It was the perfect ending to a week full of laughter, learning, and new friendships.
Thank you to everyone who joined Orientation Week 2025 — and welcome to the UZ family!
